End-to-End CI/CD Automation for Kubernetes (EKS)
Designed automated pipeline that provisions AWS infrastructure with Terraform, builds/pushes Docker images, and deploys updates to EKS with zero-downtime rollouts and monitoring.
$ cat project-plan.md
- Provision a secure AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) spanning multiple availability zones utilizing Terraform IaC.
- Initialize an AWS EKS Kubernetes Cluster with managed node groups configured for auto-scaling under traffic spikes.
- Set up GitHub Actions to trigger test suites, execute Trivy vulnerability checks, compile Docker images, and push payloads to Docker Registry.
- Integrate Nginx Ingress Controllers inside EKS, routing incoming HTTP load traffic, backed by Prometheus and Grafana alerting systems.

⚠️ CHALLENGE: EKS node group instances failing to join the cluster due to subnet routing limits.
✔️ RESOLUTION: Updated Terraform VPC configurations to declare public subnets with explicit IGW routes and enabled subnet tag markers required by EKS load balancers.
⚠️ CHALLENGE: Docker build times exceeding pipeline limits during dependency installation stages.
✔️ RESOLUTION: Refactored Dockerfiles to utilize multi-stage builds and leveraged GitHub Actions caching cache-from actions.
